Learning Beyond the Classroom

Field Trips & Experiential Learning

Our belief is that a truly enriching educational experience extends beyond the walls of the classroom. This is why we offer unique field trips and experiential learning for students in every grade regularly throughout the school year. These carefully curated trips allow our students to immerse themselves in a variety of activities that foster curiosity, encourage teamwork, and facilitate personal growth.

We provide opportunities for students to attend both day field trips and overnight excursions that encourage students to connect with the world around them and apply the knowledge they’ve gained in the classroom.

Day Trips: Learning Beyond the Classroom

Field trips are more than just a break from the traditional classroom environment – they’re a chance to deepen students’ understanding of the world around them, to nurture their creativity, and to spark their curiosity.
Our students will have the opportunity to explore and learn during different field trips each month. From visits to the Toronto Zoo, Tree-Top Trekking, Visiting a pumpkin patch, the ROM and even the opportunity to visit Centre Island or attend a Blue Jay Game, there are new adventures ahead for our students.

Overnight Adventures Abroad:

Recognizing the immense value of experiential learning and to invigorate the sense of community among students, we are excited to host overnight field trips for our students. The lessons and memories these trips create go far beyond the confines of the classroom, offering opportunities for personal growth, developing independence, and nurturing a spirit of cooperation among peers.

Each September our students in Grade 3 and up head to the picturesque Muskoka for an unforgettable camping trip. Nestled amidst enchanting log cabins and a serene lake, students spend several days participating in an array of outdoor activities that foster a deeper connection with nature, strengthen team spirit, and bolster personal development.

Additionally our school has hosted overnight trips for students to visit Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Niagara Falls and the NASA Headquarters in Florida.
