Some of our Grade 5-11 students are headed to the great city of Ottawa to help celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday! Stay tuned for posts from our students each day. We will be blogging our journey at each step as we explore our nation’s capital.
Our first day in Ottawa was a great adventure for all! After a small lunch break in Kingston, we arrived to our hotel in the ByWard Market. From there, we drove a short distance to the Canadian War Museum where we learned all about the history of Canada from a war and military perspective. After this, we had dinner at Tucker’s Marketplace before we headed back to our hotel. Can’t wait for our jam packed Day 2, including walking tour, Parliament Hill, War Memorial, Terry Fox statue, Museum of History and more!
